Baseline Assessments

After a new site has been approved by the regulatory agencies they often require that environmental baseline data be collected prior to any site development. That data generally includes spot dives at specific locations and the establishment of transect lines in locations where environmental indicators of operator performance can be measured and monitored. The environmental data generally includes video transects, sediment grain size analysis, REDOX, sulfides, flora and fauna. A report is prepared by the SIM Corp. Environment Team for submission to the appropriate regulatory agencies.
